Air Macau’s Beijing bailout – throwing good money after bad?

Air China has announced that its 51% (indirectly) owned subsidiary, Air Macau, would receive a cash injection worth USD63 million dollars from shareholders, in order to guarantee the survival of the ailing carrier. In recent years, Air Macau has suffered chronic operating losses and the situation worsened in 2008. [873 words]
