Airbus parent ends Farnborough week on a high, Boeing also stronger

Shares in Airbus’ parent, EADS, rallied 3.8% on Friday as the European manufacturer closed out a very successful week.

MTU Aero Engines and B/E Aerospace also closed the week strongly higher, while Safran also gained 3%. Boeing and Embraer both rose 2%.

Pratt and Whitney’s parent UTC was flat while Rolls-Royce eased 0.7%.

Travel supplier stocks were generally higher on Friday, led by China’s TravelSky Technology (+4.1%) and Expedia (+3.6%).
