
Airports Council International sees two-year traffic slowdown, but solid long-term growth

Airports Council International (ACI) has released its new Global Traffic Forecast 2008-2027 with a warning that many airports should anticipate a traffic slowdown over the next two years. But the global airport body stated traffic is expected to pick up again from 2010 and assume strong long-term growth rates to reach 11 billion passengers worldwide by 2027 - or 30 million passengers per day - up from 5 billion expected in 2009.
