
Bulgaria and Romania mark another milestone for Single European Sky

Another small milestone for the Single European Sky (SES) programme was passed this week, with Romania and Bulgaria signing an agreement on the establishment of the Danube Functional Airspace Block (FAB). The agreement formalises an MoU signed by the two countries in early 2010, when a steering committee was established.
The latest agreement sets out the roles and responsibilities for the states and their regulatory bodies, as well as for the various military services and the national air navigation service providers. Both Romania and Bulgaria have highlighted that the Danube FAB is open for accession to third party countries. [629 words]
