Shares in China's Hainan Meilan International Airport Company jumped 6.4% on Tuesday. The company announced it has appointed its executive director Liang Jun as chairman, effective 21-Mar-2011. Shares in Hainan Meilan have declined nearly 18% for the year to date.
Trading in other airport stocks was more subdued, with Xiamen Airport shares up 2.3% and Airports of Thailand gaining 1.5%. Shares in Copenhagen Airports dipped 2.8% as European airport stocks closed lower.
