Security update

The safety, security and overall experience of our delegates is paramount not only for CAPA, but also for our hosts. We therefore monitor the geo-political situation carefully. The Iranian government and its aviation industry view this Summit as being far too important for the long-term development of aviation, tourism and their economy, to risk any inconvenience to foreign guests and the potential negative repercussions which this would cause them.

Our hosts receive a daily briefing from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and we are in regular contact with our Embassy. Given heightened global risks and volatility (even before the incidents of the last few days), nobody can guarantee security in any part of the world today, including in Western capitals, as recent events have shown. However, for now, we have been advised that the situation on the ground in Tehran is perfectly normal and stable and there is at present no reason to expect that to change. We are therefore proceeding with the Summit as scheduled but will continue to closely monitor the situation.
