Since the entry of LCCs into the Middle East market just over six years ago, with the launch of Air Arabia in 2003, LCCs regional market share has grown quite strongly, though even bigger gains are likely over the next two years. The market now consists of six Middle East LCCs – Air Arabia (Sharjah), Air Arabia Maroc (Casablanca), Jazeera Airways (Kuwait), flydubai (Dubai), nasair (Saudi Arabia), Sama (Saudi Arabia) and Bahrain Air (Bahrain).
