SpiceJet swings to profit in FY2010, future looks brighter

SpiceJet posted a net profit of USD12.9 million in the 12 months ended 31-Mar-2010 (compared with a loss of USD74.2 million in the previous corresponding period), helped by lower fuel costs and an upswing in passenger demand. Seat factor surged 12.0 ppts to 78%, offsetting an 11.2% reduction in the average airfare to USD68.66. [1748 words]
