“The very structure of the industry challenged” – AEA

The Association of European Airlines has released traffic and capacity data for Sep-08 containing “the weakest [data] our industry has seen for 25 years”, according to Secretary General, Ulrich Schulte-Strathaus”. He explained the 1.1% decrease in passenger traffic was the first traffic loss since the early 1980s that was attributable essentially to economic factors. [446 words]
