AeroFlot adds capacity for Rome

18-Apr-2010 To ensure passengers transportation Aeroflot Team and the Emergency operations centre established in view of the European airspace closure decide to increase the number of flights to destinations with the airspace open.

Additional capacity is launched and new flights are added to the Rome airport still open to take passengers from Europe and to bring to Europe transit passengers from South-East Asia. Since Airports in Milan and Venice are closed the Aeroflot flights are redirected for Rome.

SU 572 Beijing – Moscow took Russian citizens – passengers of Chinese airlines which had cancelled their flights to Moscow. AeroFlot still accepts passengers from other airlines which cancelled flights to Moscow because of closed airspace in Europe.

AeroFlot keeps monitoring the situation in immediate contact with the meteorology service and with representative offices of the company in European countries, Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Murmansk.

AeroFlot continuously informs its passengers on flights status and amendments to the flight schedule.
