23-Apr-2012 TUI Travel will reveal the new livery for its airline fleet at a UK preview event for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Dreamliner, which represents an exciting new generation of aircraft, will fly into Manchester airport on Tuesday 24th April as part of its global 'Dream Tour' showcasing the new aircraft. Thomson Airways, a TUI Travel airline, will be the first UK customer to take delivery of the Dreamliner. 13 aircraft will join the TUI Travel fleet with other TUI Travel airlines TUIfly Nordic, Arkefly and Jetairfly also taking delivery of the Dreamliner.

During the event, Thomson Airways will reveal the brand new livery that will adorn the Group's Thomson Airways, TUIFly Nordic, Arkefly and Jetairfly aircraft, which has a distinctive, dynamic wave design. This change will be accompanied by new uniforms for cabin crew and the new livery will also be reflected in destination.

Retaining the light blue colour currently seen on these TUI Travel airlines, the new livery introduces a dark blue shade which is known as 'Dynamic Waves'. Also retained is the iconic 'TUI Smile' which will appear on all aircraft tailfins. This will be introduced as new aircraft are delivered and when aircraft are due to have their livery updated. All the Group's 787s will carry the new livery.

Michael Lambertz, Chief Marketing Officer, TUI Travel, commented, "The launch of our new airline livery today is incredibly exciting and follows many months of research with designers, customers and colleagues. It is particularly gratifying to launch our new livery whilst showcasing the Dreamliner which will come into service for Thomson Airways next year. I believe we have created a livery that complements both the futuristic design of this aircraft and the other aircraft currently in our fleets."

Peter Long, Chief Executive, TUI Travel said "I'm very pleased to be announcing our new livery and in the same week when we are able to preview the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, of which we are the first UK customer to take delivery. Both our new livery design and the new 787 aircraft reinforce our commitment to modern mainstream and this is a really exciting step for us. Our new 'Dynamic Wave' and uniform designs will enhance our group-wide brand recognition by establishing one distinctive 'look' across these airlines and I look forward to seeing it in place."
