US DoT Filing: Essential Air Service at Central and Circle, Alaska Proposal of Warbelow's Air Ventur

11th August, 2009

Essential Air Service at Central and Circle, Alaska - Proposal of Warbelow's Air Ventures - Circle Village Council in Support of Warbelow's Air Ventures - Proposal of Island Air Service (OST-1998-3621)

OST-1998-3621

Essential Air Service at Central and Circle, Alaska

29-Jul-2009

Re: Proposal of Warbelow's Air Ventures

We proposed service at the 3 day per week level as requested, at an annual subsidy of $122,084.23.
At the five day per week level, we propose an annual subsidy of $203,359.59.

We are planning on replacing our Piper PA 31-350 fleet over time with these aircraft. Because of the short operational experience, limited hours and startup costs, the cost numbers are uneven and not representative of the expected costs over the proposed subsidy period. We have therefore projected depreciation and insurance costs on the expected weighted utilization. All other costs should tie to the 2008 F2 reported numbers.

Re: Circle Village Council in Support of Warbelow's Air Ventures

Please let this letter serve as a support letter for Warbelow's Air service to continue bringing essential air service to our community of Circle, which currently runs five days per week.

Re: Proposal of Island Air Service

Our Pa-31-350 Navajo Chieftain is the current aircraft now being used and familiar to the communities involved. It is also in current use in Fairbanks and will be transferred to our operational control upon award of the contract.
