Push to de-militarise Brazilian air safety and ATC

The Brazilian Federal Government is reportedly moving to replace the Brazilian air accident investigation organisation, the Air Force’s Centre for the Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents (Cenipa), with a civilian agency. Three separate proposals have been put forward by the government, two of them involving an end to Cenipa and the establishment of a civilian accident investigation agency. [743 words]
