Delta TechOps to perform engine maintenance on Ethiopian Airlines fleet

22-Sep-2009 Delta Air Lines’ maintenance division, Delta TechOps, today announced it has inked an open-ended agreement to extend current maintenance support for Ethiopian Airlines to include total engine repair and overhaul of Ethiopian’s Pratt & Whitney 2040 engines. Delta TechOps began performing select maintenance support on Ethiopian’s fleet in 2005.

"Our growing customer base is a reflection of the determination, talent and flexibility of the men and women in Delta's technical operations."

"In recent years, we've relied on Delta TechOps to assist us with some engine maintenance and other maintenance services, and today we are taking our partnership to the next level," said Mesfin Tasew, vice president of Maintenance & Engineering - Ethiopian Airlines. "We are now looking to Delta for comprehensive engine maintenance support on our PW 2040 engines. We've seen firsthand that their knowledge and experience with this engine type is exceptional."
