23-Sep-2009 Viva Macau Airlines welcomes arrival of its third aircraft & announces partnership with MGTO to promote Macau tourism to the world.

Viva Macau, Macau's international award-winning airline, took delivery of its 3rd aircraft, a Boeing 767-300ER. With enhanced capacity and range, the new aircraft will commence commercial services this week immediately upon local Macau registration. At the same time, Viva Macau announced a partnership with the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) for promoting Macau tourism across the Viva Macau network, including tourism promotion advertising on the aircraft exterior and distributed inflight.

The Boeing 767-300ER complements Viva Macau's 767 fleet, with "extended range" enabling it to cover as far away as Australia with optimal capacity and enhanced inflight product and seat pitch. The addition of the new aircraft provides Viva Macau with further capacity to expand its network and frequencies: recent expansion includes the doubling of frequencies to Tokyo Narita in Japan for Mon / Wed / Fri / Sun services, and the launch of daily morning flights to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The fleet expansion enhances Viva Macau's flexibility to offer special charters to and from Macau in cooperation with the Macau hotel properties and worldwide.

The new aircraft is strikingly painted with the 2009 promotional theme of the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), "Experience Macau!" This is part of the enhanced partnership between Viva Macau and MGTO to jointly promote Macau tourism to the world. In addition to the exterior livery, inside the aircraft MGTO leaflets and videos will be on display to explain more about the many tourist attractions of Macau. Also, an MGTO banner will be inserted on the Viva Macau website which is already the dominant online access point for tourists booking their trips to Macau and its surroundings from Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan.

Viva Macau Chairman Ngan In Leng commented, "We are very happy about this stage of prudent growth for Viva Macau, as well as the cooperation with the MGTO to fulfill our mission of promoting Macau tourism to the world. The global economic environment is tough; but Macau requires home-based aviation to support the growth of Macau tourism, and our expansion is an important step for Macau. In every market that we serve - including our existing markets like Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, and Australia and our future markets like India - Viva Macau is on the "front-line" representing Macau" to the international community. We are proud to serve our home as carrier and destination marketer."

As for the expansion of the fleet, Acting CEO Dr Reg Macdonald added, "The new aircraft is a critical step in the growth of Viva Macau to enhance our fleet's efficiency and flexibility and to serve our expanding network from Macau. With the recent expansion of our Ho Chi Minh City and Tokyo services, and our next plans including India, it is important to have the right equipment and product. For some of our long routes, such as Sydney, the new aircraft provides extra comfort in our Premium Class cabin that is especially attractive to our long haul passengers. Overall, the introduction of the 3rd aircraft is a strong step in our mission to bring the world to Macau!"

Viva Macau Airlines, with the motto "We Mean The World To Macau", offers value-for-money international air fares from Macau to Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta and Sydney. The airline has increased frequency between Macau and Ho Chi Minh City to daily flight since July and has recently doubled its Tokyo flights to four times weekly from last Friday, September 18.
