Air France on JAL's decision to remain in oneworld alliance

Direct News Source

09-Feb-2010 Air France is disappointed at JAL's decision to remain part of the oneworld alliance. However, as JAL had expressed a wish to pursue and even develop its bilateral collaboration with Air France, Air France is ready to study any proposition made in a constructive way.

As JAL stated, Air France will always remain - even after this decision - an important partner in Europe. JAL's launch of Tokyo-Haneda / Paris-CDG flights and Air France's future A380 service to Japan are new opportunities for the two airlines to develop a cooperation which goes back almost 20 years. Kazuo Inamori, JAL's Chairman, underlined the importance for his airline to continue its cooperation with Air France in the long term.
