Jetstar now offers even greater choice for affordable travel between Singapore and Japan where it is largest low fares airline serving the Japanese market today.

Now a prominent flying brand in both Singapore and Japan, Jetstar will become the first low fares carrier to operate direct services between the Taiwanese capital and Osaka*.

Jetstar's latest flight market from its Singapore hub forms part of its 46 percent jump in capacity growth Jetstar is offering from the city state over the past year.

To celebrate its new Singapore-Taipei-Osaka* route, Jetstar is offering the lowest airfare available between Singapore and Osaka* with JetSaver Light fares of SGD 198 one way, all inclusive of surcharges, fees and taxes. Conditions and travel periods apply. Visit Jetstar.com.

Jetstar has been flying daily services between Singapore and Taipei since December 2004 with its Australian long haul services operating direct low fare flights to Osaka since March 2007.

According to Jetstar Asia / Valuair Chief Executive Officer, Ms Chong Phit Lian, today's sale fares on offer are some of the lowest ever made available on the routes.

"With Jetstar's Price Beat Guarantee** we continue to offer the lowest fares of any carrier between Taipei and Osaka*, providing great value for travelers from Singapore travelling one stop to Osaka," Ms Chong said.

"Japan is a top three international destination for Taiwanese nationals so we see tremendous opportunity for the introduction of our low fares on the route for Jetstar as the only low cost carrier set to fly between the two cities."

In the last year Jetstar has strongly expanded its network out of Singapore launching new low fare services to Penang, Phuket, Haikou and Shantou (both in mainland China) and recently offering additional flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong and Manila.

"Our continued growth of both existing and new destinations from Singapore continues to help expand the Jetstar brand through our Pan Asian flight network," Ms Chong said.

"Today's announcement will see Jetstar fly from Japan to its first destination outside Australia and similarly add a second Jetstar international destination from Taiwan."

On board Jetstar will offer Japanese meal options, Japanese content in the carrier's in-flight magazine and all flights will have Japanese speaking crew.

The new daily service* will operate between Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei and Singapore Changi International Airport* (Terminal One).

Jetstar now operates close to 2000 weekly flights to 57 existing destinations with a fleet of over 60 aircraft across the Asia Pacific Region.
