Hawaiian Holdings reports 12% operating profit growth in a 'great quarter in a good year'

Hawaiian Holdings revenue up 6% - financial highlights for three months ended 30-Sep-2016:

  • Total operating revenue: USD671.8 million, +6.3% year-on-year;
  • Total operating costs: USD498.0 million, +4.4%;
    • Labour: USD141.4 million, +12.3%;
    • Fuel: USD94.8 million, -10.1%;
  • Operating profit: USD173.9 million, +12.4%;
  • Net profit: USD102.5 million, +46.3%;
  • Passenger numbers: 2.9 million, +3.0%;
  • Passenger load factor: 85.2%, +1.9 ppt;
  • Operating revenue per ASM: USD 13.73 cents, +1.3%;
  • Operating cost per ASM: USD 10.17 cents, -0.6%;
  • Cost per ASM excl fuel: USD 8.23 cents, +3.3%;
