European Low Fares Airline Association complains about Alitalia state subsidy

European Low Fares Airline Association (ELFAA) reportedly submitted a complaint to the European Union (EU) about estimates that Alitalia will receive a state subsidy of EUR100 million a year for seven years, which will be raised by a EUR3 tax on each passenger travelling through Italian airports (Dow Jones, 08-Jan-09).
