Vietnam Airlines signs MoU for 10 more A350s for use on nonstop US routes

Vietnam Airlines signed (06-Sep-2016) a MoU with Airbus for 10 additional A350-900 aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. The airline will use the aircraft to operate nonstop US routes, including Ho Chi Minh City-Los Angeles service. Aircraft operating US west coast services will be configured with 305 seats in three classes. Vietnam Airlines president and CEO Duong Tri Thanh said the A350 is also suitable for proposed Europe routes. The carrier operates four A350s and has another 10 on firm order.
