Airblue launches service from Islamabad to key Sharjah and Abu Dhabi markets
Airblue launched Islamabad-Sharjah and Islamabad-Abu Dhabi services on 15-Dec-08, operating three weekly flights to both destinations, bringing Airblue’s total number of weekly services between Pakistan and the Gulf to 76. Airblue plans to increase frequency on both sectors to daily services in the “near future”. The carrier also launched four times weekly Sharjah-Lahore service on 30-Nov-08, increasing to daily on 01-Jan-09.
Airblue continues expansion into Middle East from Lahore
Airblue commenced Lahore-Abu Dhabi service on 24-Aug-08. The service currently operates four times a week, but the airline aims to eventually increase frequency to twice daily.

Toulouse (AIRBUS) - Airblue, Pakistan's fastest-growing airline has signed a firm contract for two Airbus A320 aircraft and is currently in negotiations for four more. The Aircraft will be dual configured with 157 seats in a dual class.
