airblue is a private airline based at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan. The airline commenced operations in 2004 and is Pakistan's second-largest airline behind PIA. With its fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft, airblue operates scheduled service to destinations in Pakistan, Oman, the UAE and long-haul service to Manchester in the UK.

Airblue launches service from Islamabad to key Sharjah and Abu Dhabi markets

Airblue launched Islamabad-Sharjah and Islamabad-Abu Dhabi services on 15-Dec-08, operating three weekly flights to both destinations, bringing Airblue’s total number of weekly services between Pakistan and the Gulf to 76. Airblue plans to increase frequency on both sectors to daily services in the “near future”. The carrier also launched four times weekly Sharjah-Lahore service on 30-Nov-08, increasing to daily on 01-Jan-09.

Airblue continues expansion into Middle East from Lahore
