About

Eaglexpress was a Malaysian charter carrier which was incorporated on 08-Aug-2011 and officially launched on 16-Jan-2012. The carrier specialised in Hajj and Umrah charter services in addition to holiday and freight charters. In Dec-2016, Eaglexpress announced plans to commence charter services from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah and Madinah on 14-Dec-2016. The inaugural charter marks the airline's transition from a wet lease provider to a Hajj and Umrah charter operator using four Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) revoked Eaglexpress Air Charter's air service permit (ASP), effective 21-Dec-2016. The airline is no longer permitted to transport passengers, mail or cargo on commercial non-scheduled domestic or international services. MAVCOM granted the airline a conditional 12-month ASP on 30-Aug-2016, but the airline failed to comply with the conditions within the stipulated timeframe. Eaglexpress renewed its IOSA certification in Jan-2017, and awaited an ASP.

In Jul-2018, the airline planned to reapply for an ASP and aimed to commence operations in Oct-2018.

It is assumed the airline has ceased.
