Orion Airways Cyprus was a proposed low-cost carrier to be based at Larnaca Airport, Cyprus. The carrier sought to launch operations in 2015 with services to Europe. Orion Airways planned to commence services in Dec-2016 with two Boeing 737 aircraft during initial stages. Nearchi Investment PLC acquired the carrier from Aviation Capital Ventures PLC in Oct-2017. Nearchi stated it planned to launch Orion Airways in 2018, and invest a further EUR30 million to establish the carrier. A revised launch date has not been specified.
