abertis airports is one of the main airport operators in the world, having a strong presence in Europe and America. It has stakes in 30 airports in 9 countries, with a worldwide traffic level that exceeds 80 million passengers annually.
Airport interests include:
- TBI Airports (London Luton, Cardiff, Belfast International, Stockholm Skavsta (Sweden), Orlando Sanford (US) and La Paz, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba (Bolivia) with AENA [90%/10% in the vehicle ACDL]).
- Management contracts at Atlanta, Burbank (Bob Hope), Middle Regional Georgia, Herbert Smart Downtown and Raleigh-Durham International airports (all US). In Colombia, Abertis Airports manages, through the operator Codad, the two runways of Eldorado-Bogota Airport. In 2007 Abertis acquired Desarrollo de Concesiones Aeroportuarias, a holding company with stakes in 15 airports in Mexico, Jamaica, Chile and Colombia. These include the 12 airports in Mexico managed by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP).
- Abertis Airports also provides consultancy services at the Castellón-Costa Azahar Airport in Spain
