Flughafen Wien AG develops and operates Vienna Airport. It also has interests in:
- Kosice Airport, Slovakia (in TwoOne consortium, 66% shareholding);
- Malta International Airport. It owns 57.1% of Malta Mediterranean Link Consortium Ltd (MML) which itself holds 40% of Malta International Airport plc and manages the airport. This stake gives VIE a 22.8% share in Malta International Airport plc; Friedrichshafen/Bodensee Airport, Germany (25.15%).
Flughafen Wien AG is one of the few quoted airport operators in Europe and was privatised in 1992. Shareholders are:
- Province of Lower Austria: 20;
- City of Vienna: 20%;
- Private employee participation foundation: 10%;
- Private shareholders: 50%.
