Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) was part of a consortium, with Victorian Funds Management that purchased Macquarie Airports’ and Dublin Airport Authority’s stakes (48%) in Birmingham Airport, UK, in 2007. Increased stake in Bristol Airport (UK) to around 49% in 2009. Initially, OTPP invested indirectly in airports through Macquarie Airports Group, but sold a 3.9% interest in Copenhagen Airports in 2009. Following a Jul-2011 asset swap with MAp, OTPP acquired MAp's stakes in Brussels (30.8%) and Copenhagen (39%), in exchange for its 11% stake in Sydney Airport.
Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) features in CAPA's Global Airport Investors Database.
