Avinor is a state owned limited company that operates most (46) of the civil airports in Norway. The Norwegian state (Ministry of Transport & Communications) controls 100% of the share capital. In addition to the 46 airports, it operates three air traffic control centres. Avinor was created in Jan-2003, by the commercialisation of the Norwegian Civil Aviation Administration, Luftfartsverket.
