Aer Rianta International is a leading airport retailing specialist. Formed in 1988 as a dedicated international division of the Irish State-owned airports authority, Aer Rianta Cpt (now known as the Dublin Airport Authority), Aer Rianta International established the world's first airport duty-free facility at Shannon International Airport and the first international duty-free operation in the former Soviet Union. Since then, either as concessionaire, manager or operations partner, Aer Rianta International has actively promoted airport retailing in many countries. Aer Rianta International is currently engaged in modern retail centres at major airports in Europe, Eastern Europe, North America and the Middle East.
