The Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank) is the official export credit agency of the United States Government. The Bank's primary purpose is to assist in financing the export of US goods and services to international markets through a variety of insurance, loan and guarantee programmes. The Ex-Im Bank promotes US international trade activity in providing finance for foreign purchases of US goods and services where commercial lenders are unable or unwilling to accept credit risk.
