Shares in independent aircraft leasing company Aircastle surged 4.3% in trading yesterday to hit a 28-month high. The company's stock has gained 22% for the year to date, trading strongly since the end of Jan-2011.
Other listed leasing companies were more subdued, with FLY Leasing (+1.2%) and Aerocentury (+1.1%) the only other major movers.
