
Australian Transport Minister explains to US what airline liberalisation really means

Speaking yesterday at the Aviation Press Club in Washington, Australian Transport Minister Anthony Albanese laid out why the American version of liberalisation – which has opened up the world’s markets to US airlines – is narrow minded and self serving. Those were not the words he used, but they express what he meant; and they are clearly where the issue lies if US airlines want to continue to expand into global markets. [1036 words]
