Copenhagen and Zurich shares up. Geneva Airports’ traffic less bad than feared? Mexican pax halved

4th June, 2009

Shares in the operators of Copenhagen and Zurich airports rose 8.4% and 3.6%, respectively yesterday as Geneva Airport (the first European airport to publish previous month’s traffic) reported a 4.8% decrease in passenger numbers and a 12.3% reduction in aircraft movements in May-2009. The numbers may have been better than feared.

Geneva Airport’s Apr-2009 passenger numbers and aircraft movements were boosted by Easter, showing +0.5% and -9.5% changes year-on-year, respectively.

Macquarie Airports’ shares paused for breath yesterday, easing 2.1%, while Hochtief’s shares slumped 5.3%.
