GACA signs major ATM contract

At the start of 2009, the Saudi Arabian General Authority of Civil Aviation announced plans to invest more than USD270 million in developing a new air traffic management system for the country. Saudi Arabia is one of the busiest domestic aviation markets in the Middle East region, and boasts one of the few major domestic markets, with a population of nearly 30 million, spread across a landmass roughly one quarter of the size of the US.
