Kenya Airways seeks approval for Indian routes

30th May, 2011

Kenya Airways shares rose 0.6% on Friday, as the company seeks government approval to expand its route network. The stock hit a three-month high following news that it has requested permission to operate to Delhi and the north-western state of Gujarat. Kenya Airways already operates to Mumbai.

Kenya Airways recently received a new E190 regional jet, which it will use on services to Southern and Central Africa regions. The carrier will also launch service to Chad’s capital N’djamena from 19-Jun-2011, as it expands its African coverage.
