
Kuwait and Bahrain: potential twin hubs for Jazeera Airways?

Jazeera Airways’ migration back to a single hub at Kuwait is proving a boon for Kuwait International Airport (KIA), which reported a 25.6% increase in passenger traffic last month. Since the carrier abandoned most of its operations at Dubai, due to regulatory changes, and moved from a dual hub to single hub strategy in 2Q2009, the airport’s traffic has soared, with passenger numbers up by at least 10% each month for the past four months.
