Intrepid investors that scooped up shares in Virgin Blue on 11 March at AUD0.16 are sitting on a 69% gain in just two weeks, as at yesterday's closing price. The carrier's shares put on another 22.7% on Tuesday to AUD0.27, as investors continue to become less risk averse.
V Australia's interline agreement with Delta on the Pacific route has also been welcomed by investors. Never has an interline deal been met with such enthusiasm!

Elsewhere, Qantas shares gained 2%, while Air China and Thai Airways put in a good showing, rising 7.8% and 7.4%, respectively.
