EVA Airways To Lease Four New Boeing 777-300ERs from GE Capital Aviation Services

TAIPEI, Taiwan, May 8, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, today signed an agreement to lease four new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to EVA Airways.

Delivery of the aircraft from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing is scheduled for 2014.

"We have a strong and positive long-term relationship with EVA that dates back more than 10 years," said Norman C.T. Liu, president and chief executive officer of GECAS. "We are pleased to once again help them upgrade and expand their fleet with the latest long-haul aircraft available."

GECAS currently lease 10 wide-body aircraft to EVA including six Airbus A330-200s and four Boeing 747-400SF freighters.

EVA Airways began operations in 1991 and is now one of the fastest growing airlines in Asia. With an extensive fleet of 59 aircraft, EVA operates passenger and cargo routes to 62 cities around the world.
