Tiger Airways Australia increases capacity - 22 to 32 sectors

15-Nov-2011 Following regulatory approval Tiger Airways Australia will increase its Australian domestic flights from 22 to 32 sectors per day.

A new flight schedule incorporating this increased capacity will be implemented ahead of Christmas.

This includes:

  • An extra daily Melbourne - Perth flight rotation (from one daily return flight currently to two daily return flights);
  • An extra Melbourne - Brisbane service, (from three daily return services currently to up to four daily return services);
  • An additional Melbourne - Gold Coast service (from two daily return flights to up to three daily return services); and,
  • Up to two extra daily return Melbourne - Sydney rotations (from five daily return services up to seven daily return services).

COMPANY STATEMENT

Tiger Airways Holdings Limited makes the following statement with regards to its wholly-owned subsidiary Tiger Airways Australia Pty Limited ("Tiger Airways Australia").

Tiger Airways Australia has today received approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia to operate a maximum of 32 sectors per day, an increase from the current limit of 22 sectors per day. This approval is with immediate effect.

Following this development, Tiger Airways Australia will soon publish its updated flying schedule.
