Update in relation to AirAsia Japan joint venture

03-Feb-2012 Further to the announcement dated 21 July 2011 in relation to a joint venture between AirAsia Berhad ("AirAsia" or the Company") and All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. ("ANA"), the Company is pleased to announce that the joint venture entity incorporated by the parties to establish a low cost airline in Japan, AirAsia Japan Co., Ltd ("AirAsia Japan") had on 1 February 2012 obtained an Air Operators Certificate ("AOC") from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau.
