The company was purchased in 2001, its name changed to Lakeland Air Transport, Inc. following its re-Iocation to Florida. During 2003, the company acquired an EMB-120 Brasilia and obtained FAA approval to operate aircraft with 10 seats or more to provide on demand charter services authorized under 14 CFR Part 135 and Part 298. In October 2005, Aviation Holding Company, Inc. acquired 80% of Lakeland's equity. The corporation was renamed Charter Air Transport, Inc., all of the company's executives and directors were replaced, the corporate offices were moved to Cleveland - Burke Lakefront Airport, Cleveland, OH and EMB-120 aircraft were added. Since the acquisition of CAT by ARC, the company's annual sales have grown from approximately $236,000 in 2005 to over $6.2 million in 2008 and the size of its fleet has increased from I aircraft to 7.
