Application for Allocation of Four Additional Frequencies
Delta Air Lines, Inc. hereby applies for an allocation of four additional US-Ecuador frequencies for scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Atlanta, Georgia, on the one hand, and Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador, on the other hand. Delta requests that these four frequencies be granted for use on a seasonal basis.
With this additional authority, Delta plans to offer daily peak season service to Ecuador on each of the Atlanta-Quito and Atlanta-Guayaquil routes. Delta’s daily peak season schedule will be effective on June 19, 2010; however, depending on the pace of economic recovery, Delta may implement daily service as early as February 13, 2010.
Delta proposes to operate daily peak season service between Atlanta and each of Quito and Guayaquil, beginning in 2010, and using Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 144 coach and 16 BusinessElite seats. Delta reserves the right to use other suitable aircraft from its fleet, and Delta requests the flexibility to use these frequencies on a seasonal basis in eligible US-Ecuador city-pairs, as warranted by market conditions.
