In particular, ANA at a future date intends to install new first class seats on certain of its existing B777 aircraft, and new business class seats on certain of its existing B767 aircraft. The seats will not have movable armrests, but the configuration and pitch of the seats will permit the horizontal transfer of a passenger from a boarding chair to the seats. Additionally, the new business class also will be utilized on B787 aircraft that will be delivered to ANA at a future date, but the configuration and pitch of the seats will permit the horizontal transfer of a passenger from a boarding chair to the seats.

Along with this application, ANA is today submitting to DOT exhibits and videos which provide exact specifications for all of these seats and demonstrate that horizontal transfers can be accomplished for all of these seats. The videos utilize mock-ups of the seats configured to reflect the minimum pitch and aisle width that would be encountered on board ANA aircraft after their installation/delivery at a future date.
