
Air Arabia projects 7-8% passenger growth for 2012

Air Arabia CEO Adel Ali said the carrier handled 4.7 million passengers in 2011, up 6% year-on-year and forecast the carrier’s traffic would increase 7-8% in 2012. According to reports by The National, the carrier will focus on developing its network in the CIS countries and expanding capacity in existing routes. The airline is scheduled to take delivery of six A320s in 2012.
