
Air New Zealand passenger numbers down in Dec-2011, load factor down

Air New Zealand reports (20-Jan-2012) the following traffic highlights in Dec-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 1.3 million, -0.6% year-on-year;
- Passenger load factor: 84.4%, -1.9 ppts;
- Short-haul: 86%, +1.2 ppts;
- Domestic: 84.2%, -0.2 ppt;
- Tasman/Pacific: 86.9%, +2.0 ppts;
- Long-haul: 83.3%, -4.1 ppts;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 80.4%, -4.7 ppts;
- North America/UK: 85.6%, -3.5 ppts. [more – original PR]

Air New Zealand: “Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 4.4% on the same period last year. Compared to last December year to date Short Haul yields were up 1.9%.
