
Air Seychelles to cease operations to Paris, London and Italy from 10-Jan-2012

Air Seychelles announced (28-Dec-2011) plans to cease European services to London, Paris, Rome and Milan from 10-Jan-2012 as the carrier repositions itself as a regional carrier. In 2012, the airline will only operate services to Mauritius and Johannesburg using Boeing 767-300 equipment. The airline plans to acquire either 737-800 or A320 equipment to operate its new regional network which will commence in 2012. Air Seychelles stated it is also in codeshare discussions with Etihad Airways to provide long-haul links from the Seychelles. [more - original PR]
