Airports of Thailand to invest USD4bn to double capacity in the next five years

Airports of Thailand (AOT) president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, speaking at the CAPA LCC Airports Congress, said (15-Sep-2015) AOT plans to invest USD4 billion across its six airports over the next five years to double overall capacity. The company will develop more than 1200 acres at its airports to serve the aviation industry and local communities. Land will be developed at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Chiang Rai Airport and Hat Yai Airport while limited space at Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport and Phuket International Airport will be used to generate additional revenue.
