American Airlines Group defers delivery of 22 A350 XWB to 2018

American Airlines Group reached (22-Jul-2016) an agreement with Airbus to defer delivery of the 22 A350 XWB aircraft on order, providing more widebody fleet flexibility and reducing 2017 and 2018 capital expenditures. Under the new schedule, the carrier expects to take delivery of its first A350 aircraft in late 2018, instead of the spring of 2017 as previously expected. American now expects to take delivery of these A350 aircraft from 2018 through 2022, with an average deferral of 26 months. [more - original PR]
