American Airlines reports (06-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2012:

• Passenger numbers: 6.8 million, +0.9% year-on-year;
• Revenue passenger miles: +1.4%;
  • Domestic: -1.1%;
  • International: +5.0%;
  • Europe: +3.1%;
  • Latin America: +3.2%;
  • Asia Pacific: +17.4%;
• Passenger load factor: 78.5%, +2.7 ppts;
  • Domestic: 78%, +2.6 ppts;
  • International: 79.3%, +2.9 ppts;
  • Europe: 75.6%, +8.1 ppts;
  • Latin America: 81.1%, -0.3 ppt;

  Delta Air Lines is targeting JetBlue Airways through new and bolstered flights being introduced to Florida and the Caribbean from New York’s LaGuardia and JFK airports in late 2012 and early 2013.
