UK's BAA reportedly expects to have lost at least GBP40 million in revenue from the four-day closure of London Heathrow Airport (Reuters, 28-Dec-2010). The airport operator also lost GBP40 million earlier this year during the shutdown of European airspace due to volcanic ash. BAA responded to the reports stating it is yet to make an official estimate of the costs.
