BOC Aviation delivers 14 aircraft, signs nine new leases during 2Q2016

BOC Aviation reported (22-Jul-2016) its operational transactions for 30-Jun-2016:

  • Portfolio: 265 owned and managed aircraft, with an average aircraft age of 3.3 years and an average remaining lease term of 7.2 years for owned aircraft fleet, weighted by net book value;
  • Order book: 218 aircraft - including all commitments to purchase aircraft including those where an airline customer has the right to acquire the relevant aircraft. Deliveries to average 40 aircraft p/a over the period from 2016 to 2021;
  • New deliveries: 14 aircraft (including three acquired by airline customers on delivery) during 2Q2016;
  • Leases: Signed nine leases during 2Q2016. Customer base covers 64 airlines in 31 countries in the owned and managed portfolios;
  • Aircraft sales: Sold 15 owned aircraft in the second quarter, including the last remaining pre-2007 vintage aircraft;
  • Managed fleet: Comprised 39 aircraft as of the end of 2Q2016;
  • Portfolio management: 100% of 2016 deliveries placed with lessees, with more than 60% of 2017 deliveries also placed on lease. Aircraft utilisation maintained at 100% during 2Q2016. [more - original PR]
